FPCM Fundamentals of Practice Management

Improve and enhance your Practice Management skills with our informative short course (12 hrs online). Our course is suitable for all staff, GP’s, Nurses and Doctors and for those who need to be across the staff, the finance, systems and processes, policy and short, medium and long-term planning for the practice.

Developed in partnership with the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) there is a strong focus on:
· Human Resource Management
· Business Operations
· Risk, Compliance & WHS
· Leading a team for Practice Improvement.

Participants will be equipped with checklists and tools to apply in their practice, including a Practice Improvement Plan and Personal Development Plan. All study materials are online and includes a 1/2 hour coaching session will support students to plan and implement their future.

BSBPEF502 Develop and use emotional intelligence

Learning to develop and use emotional intelligence will help to increase self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management in the context of the workplace. In this unit you will learn to identify the impact of own emotions on others in the workplace, recognising and appreciating the emotional strengths and weaknesses of others, promoting the development of emotional intelligence in others and utilising emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes.

This applies to those who are required to identify, analyse, synthesis and act on information from a range of sources and who deal with unpredictable problems as part of their job role, using their initiative and judgement to organise the work of self and others and plan, evaluate and co-ordinate the work of teams.
