Workshop-Based Courses for Medical Practice Management
We also run customised workshops for corporate groups, such as government departments and large organisations. For further information on how UNE Partnerships can assist with training specifically for your organisation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Case studies and examples use medical scenarios, so that you apply management theory to your practice and profession. The assessment tasks are often centred on your own practice: budgets, business plans, updated policies or procedures and other potential developments; this is a valuable by-product of the assessment process.
The combination of the Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma courses covers different skill sets and/or levels of seniority within the medical practice; they may be relevant to several different staff members or as part of a longer term development path for a single staff member.
Professional Practice Management Programs
Targeted at people working in office reception and other administrative tasks within a medical, specialised or general healthcare practice.
Certificate IV and Diploma options
Our Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications in the Professional Practice Management Program are pitched at differing levels of responsibility within the roles of Office Manager, Practice Manager or General Manager in a health practice. We have developed a questionnaire to help you decide which level is right for you… or speak to one of our course advisers.
This course is ideal for staff working in the operational management of a medical or health-focused practice, or team leaders within a medical practice.
This course is designed for those who have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Professional Practice Management and who wish to complete the Diploma of Professional Practice Management.
Participants will be enrolled in the Diploma but will have reduced assessment requirements due to completion of the same elements in the Certificate IV course, and will receive the full Diploma of Professional Practice Management qualification upon successful completion. Participants will receive credit for three units of competency upon enrolment in the Diploma (BSBHRM402A, BSBWOR402A and BSBRSK401A).
Prior to enrolment it is recommended that each participant completes the self-assessment questionnaire to ensure suitability in this course.
This course has been prepared for experienced practice managers having a wide range of business responsibilities, possibly including strategic advice and high-level support to the practice’s principals.
