Government and Public Sector Training Program
The Qualifications
UNE Partnerships offers a range of qualifications specifically designed for those working within the government or the public sector through structured workplace training. These qualifications provide a flexible approach to develop the specific skills and knowledge required to work effectively within the government or the public sector in both regional and metropolitan areas.
Certificate III in Government
This generalist qualification is only available to corporate groups,
covering entry-level competencies for a career in the public service whilst
undertaking a diverse range of work activities. Please contact UNE Partnerships

Certificate IV in Government
The qualification is particularly suited to those working in an
environment where there is a range of diverse responsibilities
rather than a narrow specialisation, and which requires competence
in independent and self-directed work. The skills and knowledge
acquired will enable participants to work effectively in a government
department in a supervisory or team leader role.
Certificate IV in
Government (Investigation)
This specialist qualification covers the competencies required
for statutory investigation under a range of legislation, regulations,
mandated government and organisational policy and instructions.
The course equips participants with an understanding of government
structures and processes, organisational responsibilities and the
environment in which government employees work.
Certificate IV in
Government (Statutory Compliance)
This specialist qualification covers the competencies required
by those responsible for ensuring statutory compliance with the
requirements of legislation, regulations and government or organisational
policy.
