Educational philosophy and approach

UNE Partnerships recognises our students’ and clients' requirements to build skills that ensure our programs achieve clear, precise outcomes and objectives. This approach hinges on the successful transfer of newly acquired capability from the learning environment to the workplace. Our instructional designers incorporate solid theory and practice into all programs, making them suitable for active practitioners and for those preparing to enter a new occupation.

At UNE Partnerships, we understand the specific nature of industry requirements and have built a reputation for the delivery of customised training and education with a broad range of clients. We address the unique needs of each client by phasing our program delivery to ensure critical steps are included as shown below.

Course Customisation

Action learning is an integral part of our educational philosophy. Programs incorporate a process of learning and reflection supported by colleagues, study cohorts, coaches, mentors, managers and facilitators. Learning in this context creates immediate and meaningful feedback where program participants learn individually, and from others, by working on real problems. Action learning also creates organisational networks which might not otherwise develop as participants begin to interact with peers and subject matter experts throughout the organisation. We encourage the implementation of a mentoring system (where none exists), to support learning in the workplace.

Successful mentorship benefits both the mentor and the mentored.

When working with organisations, we concentrate on design flexibility that embraces the strategic direction, policies and procedures, culture and values, and systems of our client. As a result, programs can provide clients with a platform from which to address immediate issues and ongoing developments in their organisation.

UNE Partnerships uses a continuous improvement model to review and modify its processes of design, development, production and delivery of courseware. We encourage a system of open and continuous consultation to optimise the achievement of desired outcomes. We recommend feedback from participants and stakeholders from the commencement of service delivery.
