Strategic Planning and Leadership Program (SPLP)


Training Suitability

Consists of units from the Advanced Diploma of Business Management qualification.

Candidature: 6-12 months
Study Workload: 9-12 hours per week
Entry Requirements: Candidates must have 3 years (minimum) relevant workplace experience to allow them to demonstrate achievement of management competencies.
Course Materials: All course materials are provided. Includes comprehensive study package - course guide, study notes, online resources, activities, readings, assessment items plus full administrative and academic support.

  • Contribute to strategic direction (BSBMGT601A)
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans (BSBMGT602A)
  • Provide leadership across the organisation (BSBMGT605A)

Assessment: Each module has a set of action learning activities and practical work-based assessments that are submitted at intervals, throughout the candidature.

SKILLS OUTCOME

At the successful completion of this course, depending on electives, students will be able to:

  • Strategic planning and implementation of an organisational strategy
  •  Leadership styles and planning
  •  Promotion and management of continuous improvement and learning
  •  Development of business plans and business operations
  •  Financial management, from the preparation and analysis of responsible budgetary plans and decision making, to the development of capital investment proposals.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Given some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, RPL is available and acknowledges skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
