Training Suitability

**Students seeking Advanced Standing to UNE must successfully complete all course work by 15/11/2009

Consists of 3 units from the Advanced Diploma of Management qualification.

Candidature: 6 months
Study Workload: 9-12 hours per week
Entry Requirements: Candidates must have 3 years (minimum) relevant workplace experience to allow them to demonstrate achievement of management competencies.

Assessment: Each module has a set of action learning activities and practical work-based assessments that are submitted at intervals, throughout the candidature.

SKILLS OUTCOME

At the successful completion of this course, depending on electives, students will be able to:

  • Strategically plan and implement organisational strategy
  • Assess and implement effective leadership styles and planning
  • Promote and manage continuous improvement and learning

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Given that some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning assessment process is available to acknowledge skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
